Since August 1980, the Susquehanna Riverlands Environmental Preserve has been providing the people of north central Pennsylvania with quality recreation and environmental education. Encompassing 1,200 acres on both the east and west banks of the Susquehanna River, the Riverlands is jointly owned by PPL Corporation and Allegheny Electric Cooperative, Inc.
PPL is a good steward of the resources that have been entrusted to us. It’s also a good neighbor. That’s why PPL uses a multiple-purpose land management approach at the Riverlands. Land is managed in harmony with the environment, whether it’s used for farmland, wood products, wildlife habitat or environmental education.
Susquehanna Riverlands is open daily with the exception of Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day.
Gates open at 8 a.m. Closing time will vary depending on time of year and will be posted on signs throughout the park.
Riverlands’ office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
